  • Transportation to appointments for disabled persons. Wheel chair accessible, curb to curb services. Pre-certification needed.
  • Diagnostic evaluations, speech, physical, occupational and behavioral therapy services. Services available for children only.
  • Plumbing, electrical, appliance, window, locks or other safety repairs. Must live east of 52nd Street, be 62 and older or permanently disabled at any age, own the home, and meet income guidelines.
  • Vocational counseling, job placement, custom training, assistive technology, and transition from school to work. Participants must have a disability (mental, speech, hearing, cardiovascular, respiratory, immunological, movement related, or other).
  • Vocational Development Center provides vocational, residential, and day services for persons with mental or developmental disabilities. Provide services in Nebraska and Iowa. Sheltered work training programs at one of VoDEC's three locations in Omaha, La Vista and Council Bluffs.
  • Training programs for employment skills for persons with physical and mental disabilities in Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties. Offering CNA and Medication Aid classes. Also offers college search database. Must be low income living in the metro area to access.
  • Offer early childhood services to young children with disabilities such as occupational and physical therapy, as well as child development centers.
